How will my story be shared or publicised?

Any content you provide when submitting your story or after (including your story and additional content such as video or audio interviews) will be:

  • displayed as social media posts on our social media accounts. Currently including: Patreon, Vimeo, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook;
  • sent to subscribers of our email newsletter, through Mailerlite (information below);
  • put onto our website; and,
  • used for promotional and publicity activities (such as press releases) associated with Mark Your Spot.

Please be aware of the public nature of the information you provide. Once it is in the public domain, it will remain there and be widely available to members of the public.

We may use the photographs, video, and text as part of a physical exhibition or printed material in the future but we will contact you ahead of any such exhibition or print to inform you.

We may receive requests from third party media organisations who might want to contact you about your involvement in Mark Your Spot. In these instances we would contact you first to seek your consent before we share any information.

Retention of data

We will retain your information from our contact forms for six years after you have submitted it. We use cloud storage with enterprise-grade infrastructure. We also collect and maintain aggregated, anonymised or pseudonymised information which we may retain indefinitely to protect the safety and security of our Site, improve what we do or comply with legal obligations.

Your Rights

You have the right to be informed of Personal Data processed by the Living Taff, a right to rectification/correction, erasure and restriction of processing. You also have the right to ask from us a structured, common and machine-readable format of Personal Data you provided to us. We can only identify you via your email address and we can only adhere to your request and provide information if we have Personal Data about you through you having made contact with us directly and/or you using our site and/or service. We cannot provide, rectify or delete any data that we store on behalf of our users. To exercise any of the rights mentioned in this Privacy Policy and/or in the event of questions or comments relating to the use of Personal Data you may contact us by the contact details above. In addition, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in your jurisdiction.
